Samaná Whale Watching Tour
Experience one of the Dominican Republic's most famous wildlife adventures on a Samaná whale watching tour.
Every winter, humpback whales arrive in the warm waters around the Samaná Peninsula for their breeding and calving season. Samaná Bay is one of the country's best-known destinations for seeing these impressive marine mammals in their natural environment.
Depart from Samaná Port and travel by boat into the bay with a local captain and crew in search of humpback whales.
During your excursion, you may see whales surfacing, tail flukes, pectoral-fin slapping, breaching and mothers traveling with calves. Because this is a natural wildlife experience, specific behaviors cannot be guaranteed.
